How it all began
“The moment I saw Indi I was instantly captivated. After our FaceTime session, I knew I was in trouble.”
— Sachin
“As they say, I met Sachin when I least expected it- through my parents. After being introduced to a few people by my Mum before, I decided to give it one last chance. To my surprise, this time felt different. He was the one. Of course, our journey didn’t begin without its challenges. The first was distance- he lived in Sydney while I was in Brisbane. Then one random weekday, he texted me asking to FaceTime. During that call, he casually mentioned he’d be coming to Brisbane for a “work trip.” From that moment on, the rest is history. ”

Sachin & Indi
First Impression
My first impression of Sach was that he was very good-looking and confidently himself. He was also incredibly patient, always willing to listen to my stories-and at the very least, pretending they were fascinating.

Indi was even more beautiful in person. She was kind, playful and a compassionate person. Indi was just starting out her career as a doctor and was very passionate about obstetrics and gynaecology and bringing new babies into the world. We had great banter and our conversation was fun.

SHE SAID YES -
SHE SAID YES -
It was Sep 8th, we were both in Lake Como, Italy. I told Indi that we would be doing a wine tasting, When in reality I had meticulously planned a romantic proposal at Castello di vezio (Castle in Varenna with the best view of Lake Como). As we arrived to the top of the castle, the violinist and cellist were playing one of Indi’s favourite Taylor swift songs. As the sun was setting, I proposed and when she said yes, pink smoke bombs exploded. We celebrated with a glass of champagne and watched the sunset over Lake Como.
- Sachin
On a perfect Monday afternoon, right at the peak of our Europe trip, and in Lake Como of all places, Sachin told me we were going wine tasting. Of all his many strengths, keeping secrets has never been one of them- so I knew something special was coming. I remember choosing to wear the pretty dress I had packed “just in case,” not knowing just how much that moment would change my life.
In true Sachin style, he led me to the rooftop of a breathtaking castle overlooking Lake Como. And there, surrounded by beauty that felt almost unreal, he asked me to spend forever with him. Everything about it was pure romance- the soft sound of a violin playing one of my favourite Taylor Swift songs, the wine, and the most beautiful, heartfelt speech he had somehow memorised.
So on a quiet, ordinary Monday night, in the most extraordinary place in Italy, I said yes to marrying the love of my life-and in that moment, I knew my forever had begun.
